ökoNORM

It is therefore hardly surprising that the company founders Ellen Schahn and Albert Krohn were already active in environmental protection, in citizens' initiatives and socio-politically before the company was founded in Frankfurt/Main in 1989. They got to know each other through these topics and worked together in ecologically oriented companies. Since moving to an originally dilapidated building in the Harz Mountains in 1997, finger paints, wax crayons and children's modeling clay from renewable raw materials have been produced in Saxony-Anhalt.
The committed, consistent development of products from renewable raw materials - nawaro - was recognized by the consumer magazine ÖKO-TEST rating many ökoNORM products with "very good" or "good".
The "spiel gut" seal of approval, reports in trade journals and television programs about ökoNORM products and recommendations from loyal customers have contributed to the success. This has made ökoNORM the number one ecologically producing creative supplier worldwide.
nawaro products are compostable or recyclable in their components, economical in use and simple in their packaging. A careful selection of raw materials and voluntary self-control guarantee healthy and ecologically sensible products that also fully meet modern, contemporary demands.
