Domino Search for Traces
Domino Search for Traces
Domino Search for Traces is an exciting game, similar to the classic domino, for 1 - 4 little trackers aged 3 and over. Good observation skills and a little luck are required when it comes to finding out which trace the tractor, the kitten or the diver leaves behind. The first person to get on the right track and put down all of their tiles is the winner.
Game idea and design: Susanne Kummer
Material: plywood
Dimensions of game pieces: W/H/D: 11.5 x 0.7 x 6 cm
Contents: 24 tiles
Playing time approx. 10 minutes
Recommended age: from 3 years
Game idea
The tiles show different pictures and traces that match the pictures. The aim of the game is to match people, animals or things to the correct traces and lay them together in a spiral. You have to pay attention to the footprints and a funny picture snake is created. The first person to put down their tiles wins the game. The game can also be played alone as a placement game.
Preparation for the game
With the exception of the starting tile, all tiles are first dealt face down to the players. With 2 players, each player receives 6 tiles. With 3 players, each player receives 5 tiles. With 4 players, each player receives 4 tiles. The remaining tiles are placed face down on the table as a supply, and the starting tile is placed face up in the middle.
Playing the game
The youngest player begins. He can place one of his tiles on the starting tile. When placing tiles, the pictures must always be placed on the corresponding tracks, e.g. diver on flippers, tractor on tire tracks, etc. As the game progresses, tiles can only be placed on one side of the ever-growing tile chain. The footprints determine the direction in which tiles are placed. If you cannot place tiles, you must take another tile from the supply. If this tile fits, you can place it immediately. If there are no more tiles in the supply, you do not have to take any more. Anyone who cannot place a card must pass and it is the next player's turn.
End of the game
If a player has laid down all of his tiles, the game ends and he has won. The game also ends if no player can place a card any more. In this case, the player who has the fewest tiles wins.
